The technology platform for educational book publishers

Enhance your print publications with interactive content. Create secure, modern, and commercially valuable products that meet the needs of today’s market.

BBLIO enables publishers of educational content:

to publish digital books without requiring specialized technical knowledge,
to sell access licenses without distributing files, thereby protecting their content,
to create new educational products and services based on their content,
to quickly and cost-effectively develop digital companions to complement and enrich their print publications.

BBLIO supports 4 different formats

Regardless of the format of the digital book, the content can be updated, corrected, and expanded at any time.

PDF

PDF files can be quickly converted into interactive books, preserving the pagination, graphic identity, and overall appearance of the print edition. They are an ideal choice for publishers who already have production-ready files and wish to repurpose them digitally without having to redesign the book.

The content can be enhanced with audio, video, hyperlinks, interactive exercises, pop-up information, and other educational tools. It is optimized primarily for larger screens, such as computers, laptops, and tablets, where the original layout can be rendered with greater accuracy and clarity.

EPUB

EPUB is a flexible digital book format in which the text automatically adapts to the size and orientation of the reader’s screen. Readers can adjust the font size, line spacing, margins, and other display settings to create a personalized reading experience. The format is particularly well suited to text-heavy publications, such as literary works, academic titles, and theoretical educational books. EPUB is optimized for reading across all screen sizes, especially on smartphones and tablets, as the content automatically reflows without requiring readers to zoom in or scroll horizontally.

HTML

Books in HTML format offer the greatest flexibility in terms of design, interactivity, and organization of educational content. Each chapter can be structured as a complete digital lesson, featuring text, images, videos, audio, exercises, simulations, games, and self-assessment activities. The HTML format is ideal for publications designed from the ground up for digital use or for content that requires a high degree of interactivity. It can be fully optimized for any screen type—from cell phones and tablets to laptops, desktop computers, and interactive whiteboards—offering different layouts and functionality depending on the device.

IMAGE BASED

The image-based format enables the digital preservation and publication of books that are available only in print, using scanned pages or individual image files “facsimile editions”. It is particularly suitable for creating digital facsimile editions.

The book’s original appearance and page layout are fully preserved, making this format ideal for older titles, illustrated publications, books with complex layouts, and works whose original production files are no longer available. The scanned pages can be compiled into a secure digital book and enriched with interactive elements, audio, video, explanatory notes, links, and exercises. This format is primarily optimized for larger screens, where the original pages can be displayed clearly and in sufficient detail. On smartphones, readers can navigate the content by zooming in and scrolling across the page.

Two libraries,
thousands of readers

The digital books created and hosted through BBLIO are published in two online libraries specifically designed for educational purposes.

Users/buyers of your digital books can activate your international editions for free on Mydigitalbooks.com and your Greek editions on Digitalbooks.gr, within a modern and secure reading environment.

Both libraries incorporate advanced teaching tools for educators and special features that support student learning. Registration and use are free for anyone who has purchased book activation codes.

Digital books are activated using a unique alphanumeric code. The code can be printed inside a physical book and used to activate one or more digital titles simultaneously. It can also be sold separately as a scratch-off card or through an online store.

BBLIO also creates customized mobile apps and web-based digital libraries for publishers seeking an exclusive white-label solution featuring their own name, logo, brand identity, and domain, such as www.yourcompany.com.

BBLIO’s customized educational digital libraries have built a strong international presence and are used by thousands of students and teachers in Greece and worldwide.
